How To Help

Many people have asked since Brent's diagnosis how they can help, and we are very appreciative of everyone's support and prayers.  This page is set up to provide information on ways that you can help, if you wish.  We know that Brent will undergo multiple open heart surgeries, lengthy hospital stays, and follow up care for the duration of his life.

Ways in which you can help include:

• Pray for Brent, his growth, development, and health.  He is the one that will be fighting this fight.  People refer to children born with congenital heart defects as "heart warriors".  Brent is our heart warrior - pray that God gives him the strength for the battle he will be fighting.
• Pray for our family - for peace, strength, and wisdom.  Our family will have a lot of tough days a head.  Long days at the hospital.  Up days, down days, days where we don't know which way is up or down.  Pray that this journey will strengthen our family.  Pray that my wife and I will have the wisdom to make the right decisions regarding Brent's medical care and that the right doctors continue to be placed in our path.
• Contribute to Brent's medical expenses.  Many friends and family have asked how they can donate to Brent's medical expenses.  Our portion of the insurance costs over the next several years while Brent undergoes multiple open heart surgeries and hospital stays will be expensive.  If you wish to help, there are a couple of ways you can do so:
• Donate Through Gofundme:  My sister is administering a gofundme.com page which makes collecting donations online very easy.  You can also share the link with your friends via Facebook and other social media very easily as well.  Donations can be in any amount.  If you wish to use this method, the link is:  http://www.gofundme.com/anua1k
• Donate Through PayPal:  I have set up a medical savings account specifically for Brent's medical expenses.  It is linked to PayPal, and any funds contributed through PayPal or my sister's gofundme page will be saved in this account.  If you wish to contribute through PayPal, just click on the "Donate" button below.
